About Us
In residential construction, families often face the same painful problems: unclear estimates, poor communication, unreliable crews, surprise change orders, and projects that drag on far longer than promised. These problems are not just frustrating. They cost families time, money, and peace of mind.
D&J Construction was built to eliminate those experiences. I am Jay Jahn, and together with my business partner Daniel Fedoriw, we founded D&J Construction on
a simple mission: to bring glory to God by serving families with honesty, excellence, and integrity. With decades of combined experience spanning union training, heavy
equipment operation, licensed homebuilding, and OSHA-certified safety practices, we have seen firsthand what goes wrong in this industry. And we have lived the lessons
that taught us how to do it right.
Early in our careers, we made the same mistakes many builders still make today: underestimated labor, unclear pre-construction communication, and preventable change orders. Those moments shaped us. They became the reason we built systems that now protect our clients from the very problems we once witnessed.

We operate on a cost-plus contract model. All change orders are discussed, documented, and
signed by both parties. Our detailed estimating phase gives you clear visibility into design and
budget from day one

When we start a project, we are fully prepared and committed to staying on-site until completion.
Our teams are tightly scheduled, with systems in place to keep everyone updated and on track.

All workmanship is backed by a two-year warranty. Inspections are guaranteed to pass, and we

Updates occur weekly or bi-weekly depending on project size. Excel spreadsheets track budgets
and progress, and our response time is typically same day, no longer than 24 hours.
